Veneers

Well-crafted porcelain veneers can completely renew your smile. Veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth, resolving cracks, chips, stains, and other cosmetic issues. You can get a single veneer, or 6-8 veneers to enhance all the front teeth visible when you smile.

Are Veneers suitable for everyone?

Veneers are suitable for many people with cosmetic flaws or damage. Your suitability will be assessed during a consultation.

How long does the veneers process take?

The duration varies based on the complexity of the case. Typically, the process spans several appointments, including initial consultation, impressions and fabrication, fitting, and follow-up care. If these are your first set of veneers, your natural teeth will likely also need to be filed in preparation.

Are veneers painful?

Both preparation and fitting for veneers are performed under local anaesthesia, ensuring you do not experience pain during the procedures. You may feel some discomfort in the days following the procedures, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain medications.

Any new set of veneers will likely take time to become familiar and comfortable. Any discomfort after treatment (such as feeling sharp edges on your teeth) can be quickly resolved with a follow-up appointment.

Do veneers damage existing teeth?

Veneers require the enamel to be removed from existing teeth so they can be permanently affixed to the front of the tooth. As veneers are a long-lasting solution, this should not cause you any issues so long as you continue to care for your teeth and attend follow-up appointments.

How do I care for my veneers?

Maintain good oral hygiene practices, for your remaining teeth, including regular brushing and flossing. Attend scheduled dental check-ups to monitor the health and condition of your gums, veneers and remaining teeth.

How long do veneers last?

With proper care, porcelain veneers can last for ten years or longer before they may need to be replaced.

Are veneers covered by insurance?

Coverage varies depending on your insurance provider and policy. Verify the extent of coverage with your insurance company. Our friendly reception team can assist you in navigating insurance-related questions.
